Hey, remember when I almost got that “Git-R-Dun” tattoo across my forehead but you guys told me I’d look crazy? So as a second option I asked, “Fine, well what about ‘psycho’?” And you all agreed that too would be a bad idea. Well, looks like you guys were wrong. Apparently I’d look like the sexist racist Nazi in all the land if I had gotten either one of the two.

MARCH 18–Meet the Bebees. Father Floyd, 48, and his son Justin, 21, were arrested last year (on different dates) in central Florida. As you can tell from the below mug shots, the Bebees are forehead tattoo enthusiasts. Another of Bebee’s kids, Floyd III, is locked up until 2016 on a variety of felony convictions. And while the 23-year-old inmate has yet to get his head inked, he does have a swastika on his left leg, and the phrases “Time Served” and “White Pride” on his right leg. In a TSG interview, Floyd Bebee, a father of eight, said that he has a tattoo on the back of his head reading “Got-R-Did.” The ink on his forehead cost $125 and took about 45 minutes to complete, Bebee said, adding that he was the family trendsetter when it it came to such head art. Bebee, who does odd jobs like home remodeling and demolition, said that his wife had a succinct response to his forehead ink: “You crazy,” she said. Bebee noted that since his son’s eyes are open in his mug shot, the photo does not reveal a hidden surprise: Justin has the words “Fuck” and “You” tattooed on his eyelids.

I’d like to stress Floyd Bebee, aka Father Floyd’s, “Got-R-Did” tattoo (not pictured). Something tells me “Got-R-Did” isn’t as innocent as it sounds. Speculation leads me to believe it has something to do with murder. In that he murdered someone. And then got that tattoo.

This is some crazy shit, though. Stories like this make me sad about the world we live in. Sad and scared.

Lock your doors, everyone.

On February 17, 2000, John McCain made the following statement:

“I hate the gooks,” McCain said yesterday in response to a question from reporters aboard his campaign bus. “I will hate them as long as I live.”

McCain, a former Navy pilot who spent five years in a Vietnamese prisoner of war camp, was questioned about the language because of a story last month in the Nation magazine reporting his continued use of the slur.

McCain made no apologies yesterday.

“I was referring to my prison guards,” McCain said, “and I will continue to refer to them in language that might offend some people because of the beating and torture of my friends.”

In case any of you aren’t aware of the term, the article goes to explain:

the racial slur used by the senator has a long, painful history that is felt by many Asian Americans.

The word “gook” was first used in 1899 by American soldiers fighting Filipino insurgents. During the Korean War, the term was aimed at Koreans and Chinese. It was directed at the Vietnamese when Americans were fighting in Vietnam. It is now used as a slur toward any Asian or Pacific Islander.

I am speechless. The fact that McCain sees no problem using this sort of language sickens me. I understand he was held hostage and tortured during the war by a specialized group of individuals, however those people should not be specified by their race. And if this is the way McCain associates himself with Asians, he should take the steps to rectify his mindset. His unwillingness to adjust his language to um, not completely offensive terms is just one of the many reasons why he’s unfit to lead this country.

“I will hate them as long as I live.”

That’s good, John McCain. Don’t hold anything back. Let us know how you really feel. I understand that John McCain appeals to many due his being “real”, how he’s not as “politician-y” as Hillary and is more “realistic” than Obama. However, is his being upfront about his being narrow-minded considered a good quality? Or that he wants the world to know he wishes to keep this nation racially segregated? Because that is exactly what he’s doing.

I feel really comfortable having this man potentially carry on with our foreign relations, and am fully confident that he’ll remain level headed when dealing with other countries, as it’s clear he doesn’t and won’t ever harbor any deep seeded feelings of revenge. Oh, wait, no I don’t, and yes he will.

“I will call right now, my interrogator that tortured me, a gook,” McCain said. “(I can’t believe that) anybody doesn’t believe these interrogators and prison guards were cruel and sadistic people who deserve the worst appellations possible.”

McCain said he does not consider the comment an epithet.

“Gook,” he said, “is the kindest appellation I can give.”

Thanks McCain, that is so very kind of you. Thanks for not referring to these men as “chinks” or slanting your eyes when describing the “type” of people who you were held imprisoned by. You’re so sensitive to refer to an entire race in such a diplomatic term: “gook.” A term that’s equally as offensive and derogatory as any other racial slur.

I don’t care if these statements were made back in 2000. It’s not as though McCain was an ignorant child when making this speech and just needed to be educated, he was well aware of what he was saying and even took the steps to defend his words. Therefore, his hard headedness and inability to see past his own white-washed eyes simply makes him a racist prick. And if the fact that he is much older keeps him mentally stunted to a time period where such remarks were acceptable, and as a result is incapable of realizing how inappropriate his language is, that’s just one more reason why he is in no position to represent a culturally integrated country.

We need a president who will shed this country of its offensive racial stereotypes and lead us into a new era of acceptance and equality. I’ve had enough of our dependency on leaders who are either morons or so full of themselves they are unable to step back and look at themselves objectively. It’s a disgrace, and if McCain is elected he will only exacerbate the overwhelming issues this country currently faces dealing with racism. Unacceptable.
