The Sun is reporting that a creepy gnome haunts the streets of a small Argentinian town. Now, I’m not saying that The Sun is the most reliable source, or that this “gnome” isn’t just a little person dressed up in fairy tale gear, but I am saying that this footage looks real. Check it out.
Apparently one witness was hospitalized due to trauma after spotting the “creature.” Gnome trauma…it’s no laughing matter. I’d be traumatized too, I guess. Though, I’m not sure how gnomes acquired this bad/evil reputation. I suppose from “Rumpelstiltskin”? But didn’t Rumpelstiltskin just want the princess’ hand in marriage in exchange for spinning like, three entire rooms worth of gold string? That seems fair. And then there’s David, the gnome, who was nice and gentle. People like to forget about these guys.
Anyway, real or fake, this video was shot really well. Even if this story was just a set up, I think someone should buy the rights and develop this “footage” into some sort of feature film. Handheld camera shot movies– they’re the new black.
I think he looks kind of cute to be honest. And pretty drunk.
